Flashlights

What are the factory presets?

Settings installed by the manufacturer: the number of modes for both lines of modes, brightness and types of modes. The brightness and types of modes in these presets are based on the modes which used by users to solve most of their tasks.

What are the custom presets?

Designed to save your settings in an individual profile. For example, to save the possibility to return to your individual settings after using one of the factory presets.

What is the stabilization? What types of stabilization exist?

Full type stabilization: “Full stabilization” of light, which has the distinguishing feature - the brightness of the light stays constant and do not decrease due to the step by step voltage drop at the power source.

SEMI type stabilization: “Half-stabilization” of the llight, which has the distinguishing feature – the light decreases step by step in accordance with the voltage drop at the power source.

STEP type Stabilization: “Step ped” stabilization of the light, which has the distinguishing feature – the driver reduces the light beam step by step in accordance with the voltage drop at the power source, maintaining at the same time the possibility of constant light stabilization, but at a new lowest level.

What is the automemorizing of modes?

The function of the flashlight providing automemorizing the mode in which it was switched off. In the following switching on the flashligh starts to function in this mode. This function can be turned on (the flashlight remembers the last mode) or turned off - in this case, the flashlight does not remember the mode, and it always switches on in the very first Line mode. This setting can be turned on or turned off for each Mode Line separately. If Autolocation Mode is on, the flashlight remembers it even without a power source.sapien. Duis scelerisque quis ligula et fermentum. Donec id finibus neque, in commodo diam.

What are the mode lines and what type they can be?

If you unscrew the head of the flashlight from the body, you can see the gold-plated contact ring. When screwing the body of the flashlight into the head of the flashlight, its end can either touch this ring or not. In any of these states, power is supplied to the electronic circuit. It makes possible to make two independent Mode Lines: First Line and Second Line.

First Line of Modes: this is the sequence of modes after switching on the flashlight, when the contact ring touches the end of the lamp body (there is an electrical contact).

Second Line of Modes: this is the sequence of modes after switching on the flashlight, when the contact ring does not touch the end of the lamp body (there is no electrical contact).

What is the Firefly mode?

A special mode of flashlight's brightness, based on microcurrents. It has a low brightness in comparison with the usual modes and a long runtime (up to 100 days).

IMPORTANT: micro mode is used in critical situations, because its extremely low power consumption allows the lamp to operate for up to 100 days. In addition, the power supply circuit for micro modes is duplicated: if the main power supply circuit fails, the micro-modes will continue to work with the help of additional circuit.

Armytek Pro models have a Firefly mode with power output 0,1 lm, that works within the period of 130 days with Li-Ion accumulator. Armytek is the first company in the world producing flashlights with doubled critical electrical circuits. When the main circuit is damaged, system is able to work with the help of reserve circuit.

What is the SOS?

International distress signal in the radiotelegraph communication (by using Morse code). The signal is a sequence of "three points - three dashes - three points" that is transmitted without pauses between letters.

What is the Beacon?

The beam light is a short bright flashes. One flash - 7 seconds. This mode is more economical and has a longer runtime than the SOS mode. It can be used to attract attention in a critical situation.

Manipulating of the flashlight

Is it possible to save the individual user’s settings?

You can save definite individual settings in user’s pre-setting (brightness, a number of modes, frequency of strobe, battery type, type of light stabilization, type of automemorizing and so on)

Is it possible to reset the flashlight to the factory settings?

You can easily reset all the flashlight’s settings to the tactical or hunting settings or to saved user’s settings.

What is digital stabilization?

Driver decreases the light output step by step in accordance with voltage drop of battery source, remaining the facility of constant light output stabilization at the new, lowest level.

What is full stabilization?

The brightness of light output always stays constant and do not decrease because of voltage drop of battery source.

What is a driver in the flashlight?

It is electronics for manipulating the flashlight, that provides the glow of diode.

What types of pressing flashlight button exist?

Full pressing: pressing the button of the flashlight to the characteristic click, which indicates its fixation in this state. The stroke of the button is about 3-4mm.

Half-pressing: pressing the button of the flashlight without fixing it in the specified state. The stroke in this case is 0.5-1.5mm

What types of switching on flashlight on exist?

Usual switching: switching on the flashlight by using the full pressing button method.

Tactical switching: switching on the flashlight by using the half-pressing button method.

Power source

What is the power source in the flashlights?

The accumulators or batteries providing functioning of flashlight.

Will the brightness be constant at the frost and with low level of battery charge?

Thanks to a new driver of the second generation S-Tek ™ a flashlight beams a bright and constant light, even when accumulator is almost discharged. S-Tek ™ - the only one driver in the world that allows to user to choose a type of stabilization.

What happens if the battery is inserted incorrectly?

The flashlight has an enhanced electronic protection against improper installation of the battery.

Can I use Li-FePO4 batteries?

There is full compatibility with LiFePO4 batteries, which can be fully сharged after 10 minutes. These batteries are safe to use in Armytek Predator Pro and Viking Pro flashlights.

What is the protection against accidental switching on the flashlight?

The function of the flashlight, which does not allow to turn it on by pressing a button. For example, when it is transported in a backpack, there is possible the accidental contact of the power button with other objects. This function allows to prevent an accidental switching on and an unexpected consumption of power supplies.

How do I know the current battery voltage?

The S-Tek ™ driver used in Armytek Pro flashlights and has a built-in low voltage and high temperature indication. When the brightness becomes <25% of the nominal - the diode blinks twice (30 seconds after switching on). If you are not sure whether the flashlight blinked or not, turn it off and on again: in case of a low charge level, the blinks of light will repeat. At a critical charge level, the brightness decreases to the Firefly mode.

What is a warning indication?

A warning blinks indicate a low voltage of power supply or high temperature on the LED. Looks like 3 blinks every 60 seconds.

IMPORTANT: If the user does not respond to warning blinks (for example, does not switch the flashlight to a lower mode in order to save energy or reduce the temperature), then after reaching critical thresholds (low voltage or high temperature), the flahslight will automatically switch to firefly mode. At the same time manipulating of the flashlight stays without changing. But it is necessary to understand that when the power source is completely discharged, the loss of control of the flashlight is possible, even in the firefly mode.

What is an indication of battery voltage?

A flashlight function that indicates the voltage at the power source at that particular time for the switched on mode. It allows you to control the runtime of the flashlight indirectly.
